It is dedicated to presenting the foremost collection of African American art. Their first book offers readers insight into the history of the gallery and the bonds it has formed with world-renowned artists and emerging creative minds alike. Halima Taha is recognized throughout the United States as a leading authority on collecting African American art and arts management and is the author of the bestselling books Collecting African American Art. Works on Paper and Canvas and Three Decades of American Printmaking: The Brandywine Collection. Dianne Smith is an abstractionist and a devoted art educator. In 2007 she was featured in the much-heralded film by Lerone D. Wilson Colored Frames.
