As the Chair of the Biophysics Graduate Group Program at University of California Davis, he launched an initiative to establish a biophysics book series that will balance the physical-science/mathematics formalismwith the biomedical perspective in order to develop an attractive education curriculum at the interface of physical science, engineering, mathematics, biology, and medicine.
