Ellie is a typical uptown New York girl. With well-off parents and a stable job as a work from home executive assistant, nothing really seems like it can rival her current lifestyle - Or can it? Her mother is from Mesquite, Texas, a place that is quite stereotypically "Texan". When her mother married a long distance interest who had a cushy living up North, she and her daughter left Texas behind for good. Now that Ellie's relatives are getting curious about how they're doing, Ellie's mother begs her to come along. She accepts reluctantly and finds it's everything she expected: Hot, foreign, and maybe a little too Southern for comfort. Believing that there may be no redeeming qualities for Mesquite as far as she's concerned, Ellie's cousin Lacey takes her to a rodeo bar close to the city in hopes of showing her a different side of her hometown. Begrudgingly, Ellie accepts and goes to the bar with her cousin only to find an interesting man who seems much too unreal to be true. He turns out to be a local cowboy who has a bit of an interest in the uptown girl with no understanding of her roots, and it isn't long before Ellie is lured in by his charm. Will she end up eating her words, or will she be able to resist his temptations?
