At their core is a collection of 85 witness statements describing the activitiesof the lawyer Nicholas Radford on two days in 1438 and 1439. Their detailed testimonies provide a unique insight into their daily lives, and the daily life of the city of Exeter and its hinterland in the first half of the thirteenth century.
