Serge Jaroff (1896-1985) founded his world-famous Don in 1923. The choir consisted of Don Cossacks living in exile,and appeared throughout the world and whose repertoire as folklore. On the basis of this repertoire the choir became ! culture. In 1979 the choir gave its last concert in Paris andcontinued under Jaroff¿s direction until 1981.
